The Story Behind the Match

We Build Bridges
Between People & Purpose

CultureMatch started with a frustration: brilliant people kept ending up in the wrong places. Not because of skill. Because nobody measured what actually matters — the invisible threads that make a team click.

Where It Began

A Broken Puzzle Piece

Our founding team spent years in talent acquisition. They watched companies hire for skills and fire for culture — over and over. Great candidates. Great companies. Terrible matches. Not because anyone did something wrong, but because the real compatibility was invisible.

Traditional assessments measured personality. Job boards measured keywords. Nobody measured the space between a person and a team — the unspoken rhythms, the shared values, the way decisions are actually made on a Tuesday afternoon.

So we set out to measure exactly that. To build the bridge between who people are and where they belong. Not with guesswork, but with science, AI, and a deep respect for what makes every culture unique.

People & Purpose, Connected
Our Journey

Building Bridges, One Year at a Time

2022

The Frustration That Started It All

After watching another high-potential hire leave within three months — perfect resume, wrong culture — our founders decided enough was enough. They started sketching the first version of a culture-matching algorithm on a napkin in an Amsterdam café.

2023

From Napkin to Prototype

We assembled a team of I/O psychologists, ML engineers, and HR veterans. Ran a 10-company pilot in the Netherlands. The early results were staggering: matched hires stayed 3x longer than traditionally sourced ones.

2024

The Bridge Goes Live

Officially launched CultureMatch to the market. Within a year, 100+ companies were using the platform. Integrated generative AI for automated culture blueprints. Won "Most Innovative HR Tech" at the European HR Awards.

2025

Connecting Across Borders

500+ organizations across Europe. Multi-language support. Deep ATS integrations. Our Match Intelligence engine now analyzes 42 cultural dimensions — up from 12 at launch. And we're just getting started.

What Holds Us Together

Our Pieces Fit Like This

🧩

Every Piece Matters

No role is too small. No voice is too quiet. We build products that see the full picture because our team reflects one. Diversity isn't a checkbox — it's our competitive edge.

🔬

Science Over Gut Feel

We don't ship features based on hunches. Every recommendation our platform makes is grounded in I/O psychology, validated by research, and stress-tested in the real world.

🌉

Build Bridges, Not Walls

We connect. Between teams and people. Between data and decisions. Between what a company says it values and what it actually practices. Transparency is non-negotiable.

🚀

Move Fast, Stay Human

We're an AI company that never forgets it's building for humans. We ship fast, iterate constantly, and always ask: does this make hiring more human, not less?
